did ya see?!
we were on style me pretty!!

hope you liked it!
and if you did,
here are some more images from
dark and twisty inspired picnic bridal shower

lauryl came up with the ingenious idea to hang mason jars from a tree to give the shower an ethereal look. this idea came while we walking around in downtown LA's flowermart. amazing where you can find inspiration.

while i gave jane the idea of what i wanted on the stationery and what colors we were using, she did such a terrific job. her idea of using the key, which tied in to the whole alice in wonderland theme, when she first falls down the tree and has to use the key to enter wonderland. i adore that she made it a booklet and used ribbon to lace it up with antique watch faces.

i love how much we were able to tie in and use mushrooms.

many thanks go to lauryl for making that happen for me.

don't you just adore jane's stationery? love that she was able to again tie in the "eat me, drink me" idea from alice in wonderland too.

delicious food from bottega louie and whole foods.

however, how could your eyes not be drawn towards that gorgeous bouquet?!

ok let's focus on the bouquet again....
yes, those are mushrooms in the bouquet. as well as our most awesome finds from the flowermart which included ramshead pods and deep purple/blue anemones.

our end result was beautifully dark and twisty, but still such a classic and ethereal look.

many many thanks have to go to adrienne gunde for capturing all our details so wonderfully. this shoot would not have been remembered the way it is here without her awesome work.

definitely have to say that the mushrooms and handing mason jars were my favorite feature of this shoot. knew that i had to have mushrooms in this shoot no matter what and loved that lauryl incorporated it so magically.
despite her having horrid memories of mushrooms and anything attached to them.

again, thank you so very much to our "dark and twisty" team:

floral: lauryl lane
stationery: olive hue paper
linens: bbj linens/ bed, bath and beyond
tableware- bed, bath and beyond and oneida
antique watch faces: creativeARTifacts
model: megan buchner

thank you so much for helping to create and style my vision into life.
i truly enjoyed this experience and could not be happier with what we came up with it.
i totally adore it.

hope you all do too!

don't forget to check out our feature on style me pretty as well!
thank you so much to abby for featuring us.
i still remember the college days of looking through style me pretty and admiring and falling in love with each and every wedding. so this moment for me makes me super giddy with excitement and joy. this is definitely a very happy good friday for me.
