update: you guys are truly amazing people for helping me with this. my heart seriously is so grateful to know you all. i'm so HAPPY that so many of you have commented and had no idea that this would come to this level!

it breaks my heart to see this...
i'm not usually the type of person who can sit and watch disasters like this. if i could physically be in Haiti right now, i would. but since they are only taking those who are in the medical field, that does not really include me. my heart is literally aching every time i look at these pictures. it makes me so very grateful for my life right now. i can not even imagine what it is like over there.
and so in efforts to help in whatever way i can, i decided to do this.
for every comment left on this post, from now until sunday, january 17th
i will donate $5.

Such a generous offer for a simple comment... It's going to be a long time before if ever Haiti can recover. In HS I interviewed a classmate from Haiti, and her stories from back then were too much for me to bare. I can't even imagine what it will be like from here on out :-/
