...all i need is your touch

wake me up with your lips
come at me from up above.

so you've seen it here and here.
but did you know i got to help out with it?

i am blessed to know eva from red velvet occasions who i've been helping out at weddings. and i'm so lucky that i was able to be at this one.

this is why i love weddings.

this is especially touching- kristin's shoes and her grandmother's memorabilia box.

the first look.

i now give you permission to let your jaw drop...

that's right...that's a cotton flower boutonniere.

love the father-daughter moment.

lauryl lane is just plain genius and a florist goddess.

melody of sweet and saucy has a pretty damn amazing touch with her dessert tables. combined with lauryl, you get something that's pretty indescribable like this.

after a week of torrential rain, the day could not have been more perfect. slightly chilly, with the mountains covered heavily in snow but it was still bright and so very sunny. such a gorgeous backdrop.
kristin once said something along the lines of wishing she was a kid again. well she is again now, with an extra "d".
congrats kristin and brandon kidd!

brandon kidd is an amazing photographer himself and now he gets not only a partner in life, but in his business as well. such a beautiful couple whose love was so very apparent that day. brandon and kristin seriously could not stop smiling the whole day and there were many a moments when they shared cute little intimate moments between themselves.

i was fortunate enough to work with a dream team. it's pretty neat when you get to work with people that you're a fan of.

first there was d*lsh design who did brandon and kristin's invites/programs. love how bold and simple they were and how it perfectly matched the theme/colors of their wedding.
then you had chipotle as the caterer. yeup, chipotle caters weddings and kristin and brandon's was their first wedding! how much more awesome can that get? seriously.

i was one lucky girl when i got to see jasmine star three times that week! it was super cool to see her and jd rocking it out with what they do. and as you can see from all these images, how freaking amazing the wedding was. jasmine star has a knack for capturing the love between couples, from the tiniest details to the whole underlying meaning of the wedding day. i don't really need to describe how talented she is. for the most part, all of you know already. put that and an absolutely lovely personality together and you get jasmine star. you can't really beat that.

next, you have shade tree films, headed by drew renner. these guys. man oh man. seeing them at work on that day was just incredible. they are super hard working and they are constantly running back and forth making sure that they have all the details captured on film. they're seriously amazing at what they do and what they capture and how they do it is so stylish and just seriously incredulous. just head over here to see what they did for kristin and brandon's wedding.

then who better to provide the delicious sweets than the dessert goddess herself, melody from sweet and saucy. i know many of you stalk her cake pops because there is hardly anything that can beat the moistness and just plain yumminess that melts in your mouth. well, maybe her cakes. not only are the insides just plain heavenly, but her touches on all her desserts are twice as stunning, if not more.

then saving the best for last...and oh how do i ever begin?
well i guess two words.
lauryl lane.
the genius behind the use of the cotton flowers and the balsa wood flowers.
i don't even know how to begin to describe how lauryl has this amazing touch to all she does. and i'm afraid if i even attempt to describe, i won't be able to do her justice.
just scroll back up and LOOK at the images. it was just as amazing in person if not even more.
lauryl let me schnick one for my own home and i still have displaying on my coffee table.
seriously jaw drops and some major swooning anytime i look at it. and i'm left just speechless and in awe. head on over to her blog to read the story behind the whole idea of using cotton flowers.

i don't think anything can be better than having this team working behind the scenes at your wedding. they made it super fun and seriously a gorgeous event for brandon and kristin's wedding.

---

my parents have asked me why i'm in love with weddings. they think i'm crazy that i'm on my feet for 10+ hours, with barely 15 mins to stuff my face with food, then i'm off again running around making sure things are running smoothly.

but it's for moments like these- that make me sigh, swoon, and just love that i have the opportunities that i do to see, experience, help with celebrating the special love of two very special people.

so blessed to be able to share this with you all. so blessed to have been there to help. so blessed to know these people in my life. and so blessed to see the amazement that each weaves.
